Sunflower Growing Competition

If you took part in the Jolly Postman Trail then you should now have received your certificate, chocolate coins and sunflower seeds via Royal Mail.

The sunflower seeds relate to the Jolly Postman story where he comes across Jack and the Beanstalk but we are challenging you to grow sunflowers rather than beans!

To enter the competition, all you need to do is plant your seeds within a week of receiving them (ideally between 10th and 15th April) and watch them grow.

As they are growing you can upload pictures to our Facebook or Twitter accounts and we will also be posting on our Instagram account (links on the home page).

On 31st August you need to take a photo of your sunflower and measure how tall they have grown – submitting your best result via our Facebook or Twitter accounts.

There will be prizes for the sunflowers that have grown the tallest!
